We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Quality Manager at our Fayetteville, TN location! As Quality Manager, you'll set the tone for success-providing vision, direction, and motivation to achieve and exceed our daily and monthly quality goals. THE DAY TO DAY...
Set goals, monitor progress, and ensure accountability for teams and individual members Accountable for managing resources to ensure key quality department metrics are met Collaborate with internaland external customers' quality and engineering personnel to determine critical part features and review manufacturability of design Makerecommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances asnecessary to support cost effective production Provideengineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementingaction plans, and providing resources Effectivelycommunicate and reinforce company commitment to quality improvementefforts Determine whenprocess stability and capability studies should be performed on existingprocesses, review and analyze results and recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verifyeffectiveness Participate and coordinate with other department (i.e.: Engineering, ManufacturingEngineering, Purchasing, Tooling, Operations, etc.) product Quality planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new systems Facilitate andpromote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action Participatedirectly in internal and external customer PPM improvement plan Responsible and accountable to the performance of the Quality team/group Assist the Quality Director in the implementation of APQP processes to better new product development and product launces Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and or Technicians to drive supplier excellence Maintain and Enhance AriensCo Supplier Quality Manual and Supplier Ratings systems with the Quality Director and purchasing teams Assist the purchasing team in the improvement of AriensCo company supplier standards and drive their implementation into the supply base Lead and or conduct on site supplier evaluations both before supplier selection and after Oversee the Implement risk-based inspection strategies, leveraging internal process and supplier histories and data analytics to optimize efficiency Assist the Quality Director in establishing APQP, Control Plans, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC and Other standard Quality Assurance tools to create a comprehensive AriensCo Quality Assurance System
THE QUALIFICATIONS...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations and/or technical discipline Minimum of 5years' experience with certified quality management system (e.g. TS 16949, ISO) CertifiedQuality Engineer preferred Customerquality assurance experience Previous audit experience Technical knowledge of steel fabrication and assembly processes preferred Formaltraining and previous experience with part, sub-assembly, and final assembly audits preferred Background in GD&T preferred Understanding ofmanufacturing and/or lean processes is desired Ability to define and help resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
