Financial Planning & Performance Analyst I - $52,700 - $65,900

Financial Planning & Performance Analyst II - $64,500 - $80,600

Sr Financial Planning & Performance Analyst - $72,900 - $97,200

Lead Financial Planning & Performance Analyst - $86,000 - $114,700ancial Planning Perf Analyst - $70,400 - $93,900

Lead Financial Planning Perf Analyst - $83,100 - $110,800

Scheduled Work Hours:

Burlington, KS: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 6:00 p.m. (Other hours as required).

Kansas City, MO: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Other hours as required).

Topeka, KS: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Other hours as required).

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement that combines remote and on-site responsibilities, requiring weekly on-site presence at Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Center in Burlington, KS. In office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates can work from home on Monday and Friday. Candidates who are performing work remotely must live in Kansas or Missouri.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide excellent customer service to the business functions which this position will support by providing timely, accurate, and relevant financial information and analysis that informs and influences responsible decisions.

* Become a financial partner and resource for the business function(s) that are supported.

* Assist with the preparation and input of annual budgets.

* Provide monthly variance analysis for all levels of the organization. Provide management feedback as to areas of concern relating to budget/actual variances.

* Support regulatory initiatives by responding to Data Requests.

* Assist in preparation of monthly financial outlooks.

* Assist in monthly accruals and preparing journal entries.

* Work on additional projects as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field. Prefer experience working with budgets, financial modeling or analysis, or related accounting functions. An advanced degree in a related area, certification or equivalent years of industry specific experience is preferred.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

* Successful candidate must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Successful candidate must take initiative to research and ask questions to complete and follow through on open-ended projects with little direction.

* Must be dependable, initiative-taking, have an appreciation for the importance of details and have excellent organizational skills.

* Requires a good understanding of accounting and financial principles and a solid working knowledge of financial statements.

* Candidate should be versed in MS Office and Hyperion Tools.

* PowerPlan, Peoplesoft & Work Management systems experience is a plus.

* Must have the ability to work both independently, in a team environment and cross-functionally in the organization.

* Must be able to relate to and communicate with professionals at all levels, including senior management, as well as peers, and direct supervision.

* Requires ability to prioritize multiple tasks; to complete work within brief time frames to meet changing deadlines; and to identify and process relevant information in an organized, timely and accurate manner.

* Prefer knowledge of industry terms and corporate organization.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid office working conditions (remote and in office). If designated show up location is not Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Center, travel to site is required weekly. Additional travel may be required, primarily limited to the geographical region surrounding Kansas City & Topeka.
