As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. This is a driving post, so you will also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your duties.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the healthcare facility.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting patients, visitors, and staff with directions and information regarding access procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report any access control violations or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
