Description
The Portfolio Lead drives strategic staffing and operational solutions by partnering with stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable plans, and designing scalable, data-driven processes. This role oversees training, onboarding, and integration of staff, manages reporting and administrative duties during contract transitions, and mentors team members. The Portfolio Lead analyzes data and workflows to identify improvements, supports change management, and promotes continuous process optimization across the organization. Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic Solutions
- Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Translate business needs into actionable strategies, technical requirements, and solution roadmaps.
- Design and recommend scalable, data-driven staffing solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Anticipate risks and dependencies, proactively developing mitigation strategies.
Training & Documentation
- Ensure all overhead staff are trained and operating 'the Inter-Con way.'
- Support training of overhead staff during contract transitions.
- Oversee onboarding and integration of new hires.
- Track training progress and escalate issues as needed.
Solution Design
- Report user pain points, inefficiencies due to product design, and requests for tool enhancements to Solutions Analyst.
- Collaborate with StratOps Portfolio Managers to resolve automation gaps and promote efficient, system-driven workflows.
Reporting
- Report issues and new report requirements to Solutions Analyst.
- Prepare and present staffing and operational reports to senior management.
Transitions
- Assume administrative duties for contract go-live.
- Support training and integration of overhead staff during transitions.
Administrative Oversight
- Maintain solid line oversight of Specialist roles.
- Assume dotted line oversight of the Planning Coordinator role within Scheduling.
- Act as mentor to Planning Coordinators, supporting complex investigations, root cause analysis, and solutions.
- Ensure Coordinators focus on automation reliability and root cause analysis.
Data Integration & Insights
- Integrate and analyze data from multiple systems to support decision-making and performance tracking.
- Monitor data quality, system performance, and ensure data integrity.
- Use SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to uncover trends and support recommendations.
Process Optimization & Change Enablement
- Analyze contract and operational requirements to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Support change management efforts by aligning solutions with user needs and business readiness.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through feedback loops and iterative development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or 5+ years' experience in consulting, business analysis, or strategic project roles.
- Professional experience in scheduling or related areas.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and creative thinking skills.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce reporting or similar CRM/scheduling/database systems (experience is a plus).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to interact with employees, candidates, senior management, and C-suite executives.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in the organization and maintain a comprehensive understanding of their portfolio, metrics, and issues.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with multiple teams, including Recruiting, Scheduling, and Operations.
- Ability to identify and address staffing challenges proactively.

- Adaptability and responsiveness to changing operational needs.
- Ability to implement new ideas and strategies to improve processes.
