The John Chambers College of Business & Economics at West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Real Estate beginning in August 2026. West Virginia University and The John Chambers College of Business and Economics is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and service, to the academic community. The primary teaching responsibility will be in the area of real estate. Courses will be drawn from relevant areas within the candidate's discipline. Candidates are expected to embrace a teaching philosophy grounded in experiential learning initiatives. The candidate is expected to effectively teach courses (in both person and online formats) at the undergraduate and/or graduate level and work with colleagues to support and enhance our innovative and engaging program culture, and rapid growth. The expected teaching load for this position is 12 credits per year to fulfill our accreditation requirements; we seek candidates who are capable of publishing in high quality academic journals. Qualifications
The ideal candidate has earned a Ph.D. in economics or finance and possesses teaching and research interests in real estate.
