As a Banquet Server (House) at The Pfister Hotel, you will assist in the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet rooms while ensuring superior guest service. You will provide food and beverage service, maintain cleanliness, and help create seamless and memorable experiences for our guests. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976. What you will be doing:* Set up tables with china, silverware, and service equipment and break down banquet rooms according to contracts and manager instructions. * Prepare and maintain work areas such as coffee stations and bread stations before and during functions. * Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner. * Respond to guest requests promptly or escalate to a manager/supervisor when needed. * Communicate with managers or supervisors frequently about the progress of banquet events. * Maintain cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage spaces. * Assist in maintaining inventory of banquet supplies. * Uphold The Pfister's high standards of service and guest satisfaction. * Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Position Requirements:* Ability to understand and communicate in English to follow instructions and interact with guests. * Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests. * Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others. * Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. * Prior restaurant or banquet serving experience preferred. * Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option for union membership after 90 days.
