You Are: UST is seeking a Software Engineer / Test Development professional to design, implement, and maintain automated tools for system health validation across large-scale server environments. The role requires strong programming, analytical, and DevOps skills to drive test automation, ensure platform reliability, and improve release readiness through continuous integration and validation. The opportunity: * As a Software Engineer / Test Development, you will be responsible, but not limited to: * Design, develop, and maintain automated frameworks for system health checks and validation across server fleets. * Enhance existing health monitoring mechanisms to ensure system performance, stability, and reliability. * Create automation scripts to execute feature tests, experiments, and performance validation. * Develop and maintain test plans, documentation, and bug tracking in Jira or similar tools. * Support CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless integration and deployment workflows. * Perform test log analysis and regression validation to support software releases. * Utilize GitHub or equivalent version control systems for source code management and reviews. * Identify, report, and triage software and hardware issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams for resolution. * Contribute to automation strategy and process improvements to enhance overall validation efficiency. This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. What you need: * The ideal candidate should bachelor's degree in computer science, Electronics, or related discipline * 4+ years of experience in the following areas: o Software development, test automation, or DevOps-driven validation o Programming or scripting experience in Python, Shell, or similar languages. o DevOps tools, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines. o GitHub, Jira, and version control workflows. System health monitoring, diagnostics, or validation frameworks. o Linux systems, infrastructure, and software deployment workflows. * Nice to have: o Prior experience in server validation, infrastructure automation, or cloud environments. o Familiarity with containerized environments such as Docker or Kubernetes. o Exposure to data visualization tools for reporting test and health metrics. o Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps-based development practices.
