Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Keeps electrical equipment such as wiring, motors, switches, and electrical mechanisms in good repair. Performs various duties such as replacing defective wiring and making connections to new electrical installations, replacing small parts in motors, cleaning and oiling motors, and repairing electrical fixtures. Makes new installations of fixtures, motors, and other electrical equipment as required.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of four years experience in electrical maintenance/installation.

2. Ability to coordinate and work well with other personnel.

3. Practical knowledge of mathematics, electrical theory and formulas with ability to calculate electrical characteristics.

4. Knowledge of state and local electrical codes.

5. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

1. High School diploma, GED, or Higher Education required. Technical or trade courses preferred.

2. Journeyman certification, Electrical Apprentice or current Maintenance Electrician license required.

3. Must be able to travel between facilities as needed.
