The Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced self-starter to work on our IT team as a Senior Data Systems Analyst reporting to our Director, Data Analytics and you will be responsible for leveraging subject-matter and technical expertise on initiatives that align to the overall Business Intelligence and Data Management vision. You will develop and execute strategic roadmaps to promote the growth and development of our Business Intelligence platform using various analytics tools. In addition, this position will lead data management initiatives related to governance, metadata, and data quality. This position will work closely with business stakeholders and members of the Technology team on data-related initiatives.

Key Result Areas

  • Provide mentorship to others and share subject-matter expertise
  • Develop strategic project plans and roadmaps that align to Business Intelligence and Data Management vision
  • Work closely with Data Engineering team to validate data and ensure data architecture meets our needs
  • Leverage advanced data architecture, dashboard development, report development, and data management skills to progress Business Intelligence and Data Management impact and value to the business
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain complex reports and dashboards
  • Perform detailed analysis on complex datasets, reports, dashboards, and source data
  • Lead projects related to improving company meta data, master data, and data quality

Key Skills

  • Ability to mentor others, provide suggestions for improvement, and share subject-matter expertise
  • Strategic project management skills
  • Advanced data architecture, dashboard development, report development, and data management experience
  • Microsoft Power BI or similar visual analytics tool
  • SAP BusinessObjects, SSRS, or similar tabular/formatted reporting tool
  • SQL experience
  • Ability to continuously improve quality of our data
  • Prior subject-matter expertise and lead experience within a Data Management-related role
  • Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly analyze and present data in meaningful ways
  • Strong focus on design quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders with minimal supervision and ensure requirements are fully understood and deliverables meet quality standards
  • Enthusiasm for fast-paced environment, continual change, and learning new software products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Key Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree with 4 years of direct work experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Management role or equivalent experience required
  • 4 years of experience working with relational databases, data warehousing, and data transformation tools

Compensation

The base salary will be commensurate with an individual's work experience and educational background.
