Your role
Mission / Purpose of the Job The Service Sales Engineer drives aftermarket revenue growth by managing customer relationships, identifying service opportunities, and delivering solutions that improve equipment reliability, performance, and uptime. This role serves as the primary customer-facing representative for Leybold's aftermarket business and is responsible for growing service revenue through maintenance programs, repairs, upgrades, service agreements, field services, and spare parts sales while ensuring long-term customer satisfaction. Main Responsibilities
- Drive growth through service agreements, preventive maintenance programs, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, field services, and spare parts sales.
- Achieve bookings, revenue, profitability, renewal, and customer retention objectives.
- Develop territory sales plans, generate new business opportunities, maintain an active sales pipeline, and provide accurate forecasts.
- Manage the installed equipment base to identify service, upgrade, modernization, replacement, and lifecycle opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with maintenance, engineering, operations, procurement, and reliability stakeholders.
- Conduct customer visits to assess equipment performance, identify challenges, and recommend solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor focused on improving reliability, operational efficiency, and asset performance.
- Manage assigned territories by prioritizing customer activities, monitoring market trends, and coordinating with internal teams.
- Develop proposals, quotations, service agreements, and business cases that demonstrate customer value.
- Support contract negotiations and collaborate with technical teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Promote, renew, and expand service agreements and preventive maintenance contracts.
- Identify cross-selling, upselling, and competitive displacement opportunities to increase Leybold's market presence.
- Partner with sales, service operations, applications engineering, customer care, and other internal stakeholders to ensure customer success.
- Communicate customer feedback, market intelligence, competitive activity, and growth opportunities to leadership.

Compensation: The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on everyone's qualifications.
