Requirements and Preferences

Work Schedule	24/hrs per week, 3 days/week, 8am-5pm

Minimum Experience/Education	Relevant Master's degree or Relevant Bachelor's and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or relevant independent experience and education
Department Required Skills	Experience with small fruit crops, including tissue culture, greenhouse production, and field management Ability to perform controlled hybridizations in strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry Proficiency in excising, propagating, and maintaining plant material in tissue culture Experience monitoring greenhouse and field plants for pests and implementing basic IPM practices Ability to manage plant care activities, including irrigation, fertilization, germination, and general crop maintenance Experience in harvesting, recording, and analyzing phenotypic and experimental data Ability to train others-including graduate and undergraduate students-in laboratory, greenhouse, and field techniques Experience supervising undergraduate student workers in lab, greenhouse, and field settings
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education	At least 4 years experience working in a small fruit breeding program
Required License or Certification	Valid driver's license
Valid NC Driver's License required?	Yes
Commercial Driver's License Required?	No
