The Data Acquisition Group - Durability Product Development Technician is responsible for the fabrication of transducers to measure strain, displacement, rotation, application of strain gages and wiring to engine, driveline, chassis, and body components/systems. The position requires documentation of results and vehicle instrumentation for data acquisitions - including installation of wheel force transducers, other force transducers, accelerometers, displacement transducers, and on vehicles for road load data acquisition. In addition, the Mechanic/Technician will troubleshoot instrumented vehicles / transducers. Responsibilities for fixture of building, welding, machining, and disassembly of prototype vehicle chassis/driveline components. Day trips to Chelsea Proving Grounds are required to support data acquisitions. Basic Qualifications:
