Johnson County Aging and Human Services is recruiting for a Communications Coordinator. This position will close on December 5 at 5 pm. Job Description This position will assess, plan, implement internal and external communications and is responsible for maintaining and expanding digital media efforts, including content creation, social media management, creating videos, and supporting digital accessibility needs. Additional duties include:
Content Creation: Creating, maintaining and enhancing online information and materials. Developing content and informational materials tailored to diverse audiences and supporting translation services. Produces county-branded videos and writes articles for county publications.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or relevant field and one year of experience in Human Services, journalism, corporate or organizational marketing, communications or public relations, including experience using software to create graphic elements for social media and experience creating videos for social media or relevant experience are required. KS/MO driver's license with an acceptable driving record are required. Experience can be substituted for education or education can be substituted for experience. Lifting requirement of 15-20 lbs. to assist setting up for events or transporting communication materials. | |||||||||||||||
