STS Technical Services is hiring Managing Lead A&P Helicopter Mechanics in Kansas City, Missouri. Join a mission driven aviation team and take advantage of a sign on bonus worth up to $15000.

If you are an experienced A&P Mechanic with at least 2 years of certified maintenance experience, this role places you at the heart of helicopter operations that directly support life saving missions. Every detail matters because each flight has the potential to save a life. Your technical skill and attention to detail keep the fleet ready to respond at a moment's notice.


Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection needs to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual conditions that affect schedules, aircraft availability, manpower or technical support.
  • Oversee maintenance of assigned aircraft at field bases, including monitoring stock levels and requesting necessary parts.
  • Maintain safety and security of all company assets at field locations.
  • Prepare and certify maintenance documentation, aircraft logs, inspection forms and reports in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
  • Complete entries in maintenance software systems, including work packages, removals, installations and aircraft status updates.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Lead Mechanic and other operational personnel to ensure timely task completion.
  • Manage parts inventory and recommend adjustments when necessary.
  • Maintain and track calibration of company issued tools.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified aircraft mechanic.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam, functional capacity assessment that includes lifting up to 100 lbs, drug screening and background check.

Additional Requirements for Roving Maintenance Technicians

  • Sheet metal repair and or avionics troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including with short notice.
  • Ability to work night shifts based on maintenance needs.

Schedule and Location
