Job Description
The Opportunity The Department of Physical Sciences of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus, invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry position. The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely-related discipline. The position will be filled by a chemist who will teach courses in general chemistry and possibly in organic chemistry and/or biochemistry. The teaching load will be 24 credits (8 sections) per academic year, typically distributed as four 3-credit courses per semester. About the Department of Physical Sciences The Physics Sciences Department in the College of Arts and Sciences is home to over forty faculty and more than 350 students in our three B.S. programs (Engineering Physics, Space Physics, and Astronomy & Astrophysics) and two graduate programs (MS and PhD in Engineering Physics). The department offers three minors in Chemistry, Physics, and Astronomy & Astrophysics).
