Job Overview

As a Data Analyst Intern, you will support the Operations and Supply Chain team by leveraging data to improve production planning, labor performance, and overall operational efficiency. This role focuses on building dashboards, analyzing trends, and integrating data from multiple sources, including SAP and Microsoft tools, to enable informed decision-making. You will gain hands-on experience with manufacturing operations and analytics platforms while contributing to initiatives that reduce downtime, optimize processes, and enhance business agility.



This position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee's Harbor District! The target start date for this role is Summer 2025 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2025 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop real-time dashboards in Power BI to monitor production and labor performance. Automate KPI tracking for throughput, downtime, and quality metrics using Power Query (M-Code), DAX, and tools such as Power Automate or Power Apps.
  • Support data pipeline development in platforms like Palantir Foundry for seamless data flow across systems.
  • Assist in data integration and transformation from SAP and other ERP systems, combining source tables into meaningful datasets for analytics.
  • Design ontologies to connect manufacturing assets, labor, and KPIs, enabling scalable and integrated analytics.
  • Analyze historical production and labor data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement projects, using data to challenge existing processes and propose innovative solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, documentation, and compliance with governance standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Management, or similar, from an accredited college or university
  • Junior or Senior level student in good academic standing
  • Ability to work independently and in project team settings
  • Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Understanding of continuous improvement principles (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Coursework or experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Information Systems
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, and basic scripting (Power Query M, DAX, or Python).
  • Understanding of data integration and SAP or ERP systems, and ability to transform source tables into combined datasets for analytic
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with manufacturing concepts such as routings, operations, and production workflows, and how these relate to planning and data analysis
  • Exposure to data visualization and dashboard design best practices
