What you will do

Reporting to the Regional HVAC Service Manager, this role leads the day-to-day service operations and team management to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and achievement of financial goals. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining standardized business processes and service applications, while driving efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance of the branch support team.

Overview:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the local service business, ensuring excellence in execution and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer focus. This role is pivotal in driving processes that consistently deliver high customer satisfaction and strong business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee tactical service operations, managing proven business processes that support sustainable growth and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Financial Stewardship: Partner with Truck-Based Service Managers and Customer Service Representatives to meet financial objectives through accurate forecasting, analysis, and process optimization across all service lines.
  • Team Management: Directly supervise the service business support team, including account management, asset management, invoicing, file maintenance, and service order posting.
  • Coaching & Development: Provide guidance and support to branch service teams, promoting best practices and leveraging service applications. Address challenges proactively with training, resources, and innovative solutions.
  • Process Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for service business processes and applications, ensuring effective implementation, communication, and reinforcement throughout the organization.
  • Standards & Growth: Implement and maintain delivery standards aligned with company objectives for sustainable, profitable growth through operational excellence.
  • Customer Focus: Contribute to customer satisfaction initiatives, strategic execution within the service organization, and development of service team business plans and account management strategies.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities that support team success and enhance the overall customer experience.

What welook for

  • Minimum of 5 years' service industry experience managing service operations and/or service dispatch / scheduling.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently and demonstrate solid organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.
  • Must have the ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
  • Able to prioritize work activities based upon financial impact to desired business goals.
  • Demonstrated competence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and/or basic project accounting or costing principles.
  • Able to positively represent Johnson Controls and communicate with others at varying levels. Able to influence diverse teams to accomplish tasks/goals.
  • Able to use Service Management software and financial accounting systems

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $134,000-$179,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
