Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the program at the site, serving as the site liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met. The Position will provide interface, communication, and coordination with internal and external customers on matters pertaining to new and existing projects. They will also support bid and proposal activities.

NATURE OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Institute and maintain appropriate project management processes with customers
  • Ensure product development and qualifications are achieved timely with compliance.
  • Work with sales to manage projections and anticipated projects, by providing comprehensive technical support and guidance to drive design wins, maximum margins and market share.
  • Maintain tight planning and collaboration with the design execution team, sales, and the manufacturing operations
  • Forecast anticipated resource needs
  • Work with Sanmina's technology partners
  • Participate in contract authoring and negotiations
  • Participate in the creation of Statements of Work
  • Ensures all program-related decisions are guided by the terms and conditions of the customer's contract
  • Facilitate the design delivery process
  • Ensure the quality of all deliverables
  • Manage transfer of the designs to manufacturing operations
  • Manage the ramp to mature production
  • Scope / Change management
  • Drive Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensure proper training of new staff
  • 15-20% travel required


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 2 - 4 years' of direct and relevant experience in Program Management, Field Application Engineering and/or Product Development.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and procedures
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience presenting to small and large groups.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and discussions.
  • Ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to compose clear, concise, and professional emails and reports, especially in writing technical documentation.
  • The candidate must have experience in the end-to-end process of project planning, requirements management, risk management, documentation, design processes, test processes, and manufacturing.


Preferred:



  • Strong motivational skills. Will work with cross functional teams. Ability to influence.
  • PMP - Project Management Professional certificate.
  • Able to successfully manage a variety of concurrent efforts
  • Able to succeed in a high-velocity environment
  • Consistent positive attitude that influences the team, partners, and customers

Salary Range (annual): $75,000-$95,000
