Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the clinic's risk management activities which include but are not limited to overseeing the management of claims, administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, coordinating insurance coverage, managing and analyzing risk management data, designing and conducting risk management educational programs -- all with the objective of controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets and reputation of the clinic, promoting patient safety and enhancing quality of care
  • Has the authority to direct legal counsel and other personnel involved in claims management and to approve payment of fees of defense counsel and payment of other expenses of claims defense
  • Works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating the activities of Risk Management across the enterprise

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 7+ years of healthcare risk management experience including multiline litigation insurance adjusting experience OR equivalent professional or managerial level experience in Healthcare Industry
  • Managerial experience
  • Current clinical and risk practice in a healthcare facility
  • Proven excellent written/oral communication skills, basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field
  • TX Risk Management License and 17-02 TX adjuster's license; nursing license
  • ARM and CPCU designation
  • 8+ years of healthcare risk management, 3+ years of insurance company or agency experience to include 5+ years multi-line adjusting experience and 2+ years of medical malpractice litigation insurance adjusting experience
  • 3+ years medical malpractice adjusting experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
