Position Overview

As an Experienced Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting project management and field operations. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure successful execution of complex civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical support to field teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve design and construction challenges.
  • Track costs, quantities, and production to maintain project budgets.
  • Support procurement of materials and subcontractor services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy civil construction projects (highways, bridges, utilities, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DOT projects and public infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.
  • Familiarity with estimating and cost control processes.
