Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Rochester, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • As a member of the Field Test Validation Team (FTV), primary responsibilities will include field and lab testing of software and hardware related to the client's family of radios.
  • The candidate will be part of a team that provides a user-oriented focus and validation of over-the-air (OTA) performance of sophisticated radio equipment for military and professional use.
  • Testing of the client's products and systems in customer scenarios with an end-user focus.
  • Contributing to test plans and procedures.
  • Set up, configure, and operate sophisticated data and voice communication equipment.
  • Generating trouble reports (TRs) to communicate issues found and characterize repeatability.
  • Working with development engineers to suggest and support TR (trouble reports) resolutions.
  • Refining team procedures, practices, and collection and reporting of performance data to ensure continuous improvement in the execution of tests.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25 - $30/hr.

Hours: 980-Reg - 1st shift.

Length: Temp to Perm (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM.
  • Prior military radio experience.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Flexibility.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be needed to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • May also include occasionally supporting new business pursuit activities, including demos, proposals, generation of applications info (e.g., diagrams, write-ups, etc.), or occasional travel or customer interaction to support these activities.
  • Candidates should be aware that additional requirements associated with conducting on-air testing of tactical radios may also apply.
  • These include working outside in virtually all weather conditions applicable to the work area and other physical requirements such as occasional lifting and installing of equipment, and working in and around vehicles.
  • Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), all employees assigned to this client must provide documentation verifying their status as a 'U.S. Person', as defined in ITAR clause 120.15. A U.S. Person is a protected individual under the anti-discrimination provisions of U.S. immigration laws.
