This role is remote, based on the east coast, with expected travel 25% of the time.

Drive strategic workplace transformation as a Senior Occupancy Planner with JLL, where you'll foster innovative partnerships with client Real Estate Organizations and end users to deliver comprehensive space solutions. You'll serve as a subject matter expert managing complex occupancy scenarios within dynamic workplace programs while ensuring consistent delivery of planning services and data-driven reporting. This remote, east coast-based role offers 25% travel opportunities and positions you at the forefront of collaborative workplace innovation, where you'll leverage expertise in occupancy strategy and workplace design to solve intricate real estate challenges. Your leadership will directly contribute to JLL's reputation for excellence while you model superior client relationship management and strategic thinking within a forward-thinking, results-driven culture.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Strategic Partnership Development:Foster critical relationships with Corporate Real Estate teams, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, Client Business Relationship Managers, and site governance committees to align planning efforts with organizational priorities
  • Occupancy Planning Leadership:Manage development of comprehensive occupancy plans, sequence region/site/group-level moves, and resolve complex planning issues while ensuring maximum space utilization and corporate guideline compliance
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:Prepare project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand, forecast inventory changes, manage CAFM/IWMS allocations, and reconcile discrepancies between top-down projections and ground-level data
  • Solution Development:Create business programming, restack programs, allocation plans, adjacency diagrams, test fits, and migration plans using creative analytical thinking to address M&A, growth, consolidations, and market disruptions
  • Client Consultation:Interpret customer business needs into space requirements using strong interviewing skills, recommend and enforce space policies, and assist in developing site-specific planning strategies with senior leadership
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with project management, move coordination, and facility management teams to review migration plans, support construction project implementation, and ensure portfolio strategy alignment
  • Stakeholder Communication:Aggregate and interpret data from multiple sources, translate analysis into actionable information for executive decision-making, and present comprehensive solutions through PowerPoint presentations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field with 5-7 years of strategic occupancy/space planning experience in corporate real estate settings
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex calculations), AutoCAD proficiency for test-fit development, and experience with CAFM/IWMS databases (FMS, Manhattan, TRIRIGA, Archibus)
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and drive results in matrix organizational environments with executive-level client interaction capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to understand complex ideas, adapt communication style to diverse audiences, and present compelling data narratives
  • Expert-level data analytical skills with ability to aggregate information from multiple sources, maintain accuracy with numbers and spatial creativity, and articulate compelling stories through data visualization
  • Self-motivated professional with demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, adapt to rapid change, and consistently meet deadlines in dynamic environments
  • Working knowledge of occupancy utilization principles, office design trends (agile, design thinking, flexible/collaborative workplace), and modern workplace transformation practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and CAFM/IWMS systems with experience in web-based file sharing applications and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience supporting M&A activities, rapid growth scenarios, consolidations, or economic disruption response within corporate real estate portfolios
  • Background in organizational transformation initiatives with demonstrated flexibility and appetite for risk-taking in innovative solution development
  • Intellectual curiosity toward digital transformation, emerging workplace technologies, and continuous learning mindset with hunger for professional development
  • Deep understanding of and commitment to exceptional client service with track record of building trusted advisor relationships across diverse professional environments

Estimated compensation for this position:

132,000.00 - 137,500.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
