Sr. Drainage Designer

In this role, you willbe involved inthe design and delivery of drainage solutions for a variety of transportation infrastructure projects throughout Florida, with a strong focus on supporting theFlorida Department of Transportation (FDOT)and other public-sector clients.

What you'll be challenged to do:
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Designer who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Perform technical work in drainage design andpermitting forhighway projects, with little or no supervision.This includes, but is not limited to, the design of storm sewers, roadside swales/ditches, retention/detention ponds, exfiltration trenches, and pollution control structures.

• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, andpermittingdocuments.

• Assistin the preparation of Project Development & Environmental (PD&E) reports. This includes collecting drainage data, evaluating floodplain impacts, defining drainage areas,determining outfall locations,establishing permitcriteria, defining the involved permit agencies, making recommendations on alternatives and computing cost estimates.

• Ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable FDOT standards and guidelines.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
