What to Expect As a Manufacturing Supervisor you will have the critical task of managing the priorities, equipment, and people associated with the Cell Stamping production line. Your experience in fast-paced production lines where process and equipment development is a key feature will make you an ideal candidate for this role. You have a passion for employee development and enjoy the process of training and developing both new hires and experienced production staff. You are very hands-on and prefer to be on the production floor and have proven skills in both process and equipment troubleshooting, allowing you to easily adapt to constantly changing production environments. What You'll Do Execute on priorities and production plans provided by operations management Manage, coach, mentor and support up to 15 technicians and production associates on shift Execute and maintain standardized manufacturing instructions and control plans Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area Generate daily pass downs and quality reports for engineering and operations team Monitor and ensure safety standards are met by all employees What You'll Bring Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing environment 3+ years managing or supervising teams of people in a high volume production environment Experience supporting both process development and troubleshooting production equipment Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing or 6-Sigma principles Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Essential Physical Demands: Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Aetna PPO and HSA plans > 2 medical plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Account) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High Deductible Aetna medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
