Security Officer - Mall Front Desk Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Mall Front Desk Full-Time in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a bustling retail or mall location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and providing a welcoming atmosphere. You will monitor entry points, assist guests with inquiries, and maintain detailed logs of daily activities. By being present and approachable, you help to deter security-related incidents while embodying Allied Universal's commitment to people-first service, integrity, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Greet and assist visitors, tenants, and/or customers at the front desk of the location, providing a welcoming presence and addressing inquiries as needed.
• Monitor access to the building, checking credentials and logging visitors according to site-specific policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior near the front desk area.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and visitors, providing customer service while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and any unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
• Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with building management and/or emergency services as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
