Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Winnemucca, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and activities during patrols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary.
• Remain alert to changes in the environment and report any unusual or suspicious activity promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
