The selected candidates will have strong interpersonal communication skills, own a strong interest in diversity and student service, and assist with creating, developing, and planning activities pertinent to the success of the CAMP scholars. Peer Leaders will aid CAMP scholars in adjusting to the University of New Mexico by helping them learn study skills and serving as role models for these first-year students. Peer Leaders are expected to work in a fast-paced team environment, aiding El Centro staff with scholars' academic progress, attending meetings conducive to the program's needs, being knowledgeable in freshman-level courses, participating in program trainings and activities, maintaining office space, gaining experience in all areas of day-to-day operations, and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. CAMP offers flexible work schedules of approximately 20 hours per week, with some mandatory evening and weekend hours during cultural events. The position commitment runs from January 12 through May 15, 2026. Required
