What You Will Do:

  • Ensure that quality control systems are in place, used within the organization and are compliant with all relevant regulations, including industry standards and company policies. Develop any missing parts in Quality control system.

  • Conduct routine inspections of products and components to ensure they comply with work/build instructions specifications.

  • Keep records of all material purchases, inspect samples from purchased material, identify supplier problems with respect to quality and delivery, and recommend actions to solve these problems if necessary.

  • Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.

  • Assist in the development of product work standards/instructions and operating procedures.

  • Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.

  • Identify areas of improvement in the operations processes, suggest/implement corrective actions and develop methods to measure improvement and monitor processes.

  • Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and equipment failures related to product quality and suggest corrective measures.

  • Prepare and present reports summarizing the results of quality assurance activities.

  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to reduce defects and improve product reliability.

  • Develop Internal audit plans. Participate in internal and external audits as required.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance training programs for operations.

  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to product quality and operation processes.

  • Participate in continuous improvement for the department to improve efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree

  • 4 years of experience working in a quality role within manufacturing

  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards and methodologies, such as ISO, Six Sigma, etc.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and work instructions

  • Strong experience or ERP systems

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of logistics, compliance, and handling hazardous materials.

  • Data management

  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills

  • Ability to plan and organize effectively meet the demands of the business.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite and Oracle

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Lean Six-sigma certification or equivalent

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally lifting to 50 lbs.

  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

  • Work regularly requires visits to the production floor, with varying temperatures and high levels of noise; safety equipment such as glasses and protective shoes may be required.

  • Work is sometimes accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.

  • Work is sometimes executed in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
