The Tech Temp Personal Trainer will primarily lead small group trainings that include designing and delivering individualized fitness programs for students, staff, and members of the Georgia Tech community. The trainer will assess clients' fitness levels, develop custom training plans, and provide guidance and motivation to help them reach their health and fitness goals in a safe, supportive environment. This position reports to the Fitness Coordinator. Parking is not covered by the employer. Responsibilities
* Conduct fitness assessments and develop personalized workout programs based on clients' goals, fitness levels, and medical histories. * Provide one-on-one and small group personal training sessions that emphasize safe and effective exercise techniques. * Motivate and support clients to achieve their fitness goals while promoting overall health and wellness. * Offer guidance on proper exercise form, injury prevention, and effective training techniques. * Maintain records of client progress, adjust workout plans as needed, and provide feedback to help clients stay on track. * Ensure a clean and safe workout environment by setting up and sanitizing equipment. * Stay informed on current fitness trends and continuously enhance training skills through professional development and certifications. * Adhere to Georgia Tech and Campus Recreation Center policies, ensuring compliance with safety and facility guidelines. * Attend fitness team meetings to ensure team unity. Required Qualifications
* Current personal training certification from a nationally accredited organization (e.g., ACE, ACSM, NSCA). * CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). * Strong communication and motivational skills with the ability to work with clients of diverse fitness levels. * Experience in developing individualized fitness programs and providing hands-on instruction. * Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in client interactions. This is not a supervisory position. Hours: Up to 1,300 hours within a 12-consecutive-month period as per ACA guidelines. These training sessions are generally offered outside of normal business hours during early mornings, weeknights, and weekends. | |
