Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The UNCG Office of Military-Affiliated Services is committed to our ongoing mission of:

  • Coordinating services for veterans, active duty military personnel, and their dependents.
  • Serving as a liaison and advocate for military-affiliated students.
  • Improving military-affiliated student success.
  • Developing a sense of community between our military and civilian populations.

Position Summary
The School Certifying Official:

  • Certifies and maintains student enrollment according to GI Bill Education Benefits standards.
  • Provides customer service for the VA certification and GI Bill Education Benefits.
  • Acts as liaison for the University on VA and GI Bill Education matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with military educational benefit certification.
Alternate Option
If no applicants apply who meet the required competency level and training & experience requirements, then management may consider other applicants. Salary would be determined based on competencies, equity, budget, and market considerations.
