The People Services Community Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the People Services department at a single community or at several communities within a geographical area. This position is responsible for executing initiatives, providing great customer support and driving People Services functional excellence and process improvement.

Pay:



  • The targeted pay range for this job is $72,000 to $85,000 per year.
  • Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:



  1. Provides support and guidance to site leadership and team members when complex, specialized, andsensitive questions and issues arise. Administers and executes routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations.
  2. Leads and facilitates engagement and recognition programs, including the planning of events aimed at the development and retention of team members at all levels. Monitors team member turnover and retention and implements creative ideas for recruitment and retention. Analyzes and reports appropriate data to QAPI on a quarterly basis.
  3. Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's people service and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  4. Manages the talent acquisition and orientation process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring ofqualified job applicants. Collaborates with departmental leaders ensuring processes are completed timely and according to policy.
  5. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, licensing requirements, and recommended best practices. Reviews and trains on policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  6. Oversees the payroll process, worker's compensation, and leave of absence processes to ensure accuracy, fairness, and timely completion. Assists with the communication of benefits and compensation.
  7. Prepares and submits all EEO, Affirmative Action, OSHA 300, and all other government mandated reports on a timely basis.
  8. Acts as Co-Chair of the safety committee and supports to the Safe Patient Handling Committee. Responsible for Employee Right to Know Program and annual education.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.


Driving Requirements: Local Travel Required

Mininum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years in Human Resources and/or healthcare-related experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior supervisory/management experience
  • Experience with HRIS software, an applicant tracking system, E-Verify
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working in a Union environment (if applicable)
