Remote Opportunity

Hanover Research is seeking an independent Secondary Research Contractor to collaborate with our seasoned in-house research team on a project-by-project basis. Supporting clients across the higher education industry, you will be responsible for the full life-cycle of secondary research-from initial scoping through insight delivery.

Working in collaboration with an in-house research manager, you will design and execute bespoke studies higher education clients, delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility of project-based work while partnering with a Top-50 market-research firm.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting secondary research addressing research questions on key topics in business, specifically benchmarking and APA projects,

  • Collecting data from online sources to enable analysis,

  • Analyze findings and create PPT reports for each project with minimal oversight and editing,

  • Providing actionable recommendations and key findings to inform client decision-making

Qualifications

  • Experience conducting research in a professional or academic settings ,

  • Willingness to tackle complex, often unfamiliar research topics,

  • Asks questions to understand problem scope and structure, identifies patterns, trends, and gaps in data, constructs logical arguments leading to sound conclusions,

  • Ability to synthesize content and develop insight effectively,

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent PPT design skills,

  • Excellent time management skills,

  • Produces clean, client-ready reports,

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Education Requirement

A Master's degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science or other social science or a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of applied market research experience preferred. Candidates with relevant experience who hold other degrees will be considered.

Experience Requirement

2 - 4 years of business or academic experience conducting qualitative research and writing professionally preferred. Applied market research experience is preferred.

Compensation
