You Are:

The Machine Learning Engineer will work under the guidance of Senior ML Engineers to develop, test, and deploy machine learning models that solve real business problems using state-of-the-art techniques. This role involves full lifecycle ML model development-from data wrangling and experimentation to fine-tuning, validation, documentation, and deployment. The ideal candidate has strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, and programming, with domain expertise in Computer Vision, NLP, or Structured Data.

The Opportunity:

Model Development & Experimentation

* Perform data wrangling and preprocessing to create high-quality datasets.

* Conduct ML experiments to evaluate feasibility and create baseline models.

* Fine-tune baseline models to achieve optimum performance.

* Test ML models based on acceptance criteria defined by business stakeholders.

* Document experiments, models, and technical artifacts for business and engineering teams.

Deployment & Collaboration

* Work with data scientists and ML engineers to deploy models into production.

* Collaborate with product teams in planning and executing new product releases.

* Partner with cross-functional teams-business, technology, engineering, and product-to understand product vision and deliver ML solutions that drive value.

* Set OKRs, track progress, and contribute to team goals.

* Provide feedback and collaborate with peers to enhance team performance.

* Demonstrate eagerness to learn and grow within a diverse and talented team.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need:

* 3+ years of experience

* Strong understanding of the machine learning model building lifecycle.

* Knowledge of various ML techniques and when to apply them to business problems.

* Solid foundation in statistics and mathematics.

* Domain expertise in one of the following:

* Computer Vision

* Natural Language Understanding

* Structured Data & Tabular ML

* Experience with data wrangling, preprocessing, and post-processing techniques.

* Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Caffe.

* Familiarity with machine learning model testing and validation approaches.

* Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, design, product, and business teams.

* Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills.

* Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $72,000-$108,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
