Manager in Training

The Manager in Training is a fast track position designed to transition someone with experience in the building products industry into a position of responsibility with 84 Lumber as quickly as possible. As such, the primary function of the MIT is to learn. Candidates are provided with a twelve-week agenda designed to augment the transition and to serve as a training tool during that time. During this phase, the associate will be exposed to sales and operations methodologies that will help them make this transition in an orderly fashion.

Spreadsheet and Internet Software

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, technical procedures and /or government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
