Utility Operator

SUMMARY

Performs a variety of duties to deliver, via forklift, molds and supplies to and from rotational mold machines.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivers molds, powders, diaphragm boxes, empty gaylords and pallets to rotational mold machines or storage location in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintains hopper levels for powder on roto machines and transact in SAP.
• Delivers molds to and from mold shop, pre-mold and mold balance.
• Reviews mold rack to move molds not being utilized to the offsite warehouse.
• Reviews roto run sheet daily for changeovers to schedule to ensure appropriate molds are delivered on time.
• Moves raw materials as necessary for Machine Shop.
• Remove scrap bins and dispose of appropriately.
• Delivers pallets to Rotational MoldDepartment and Injection Molding Department.
• Assists Fabrication/Design department in the transfer of large cases from the floor to the assembly tables.
• Assists Test Lab in forklift-related tasks as needed.
• Maintains mold locations and labels in the specified racks.
• Follow all proper safety protocols required to operate the fork lift (daily checklist, fill battery cells with water, report any issues)
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Valid driver's license and completion of Pelican driving test for forklifts.

• Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
