Job Description and Duties
SSA:
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I in the Business Services Office (Office), part of the Operations Branch (Branch), in the Administration Division (Division) within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Staff Services Analyst will be responsible for all activities associated with acting as the Department Fleet Coordinator. The incumbent will perform fleet services work and maintains a working knowledge of the procedures to secure and safeguard the Department's assets.
AGPA:
Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I in the Business Services Office (Office), part of the Operations Branch (Branch), in the Administration Division (Division) within the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst will perform a variety of complex technical and analytical business activities for the Division and Office. The incumbent will serve as the Department Fleet Coordinator and is responsible for developing reports, providing consultation, maintaining vehicle storage permits, and developing processes and procedures related to the Department's fleet activities.

Working Conditions
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, upon a job offer, candidates must provide proof of residence in California prior to their appointment becoming effective, or the offer may be rescinded.
Incumbent will have the opportunity to telework one day per week after four months from the hire date.

  • The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.

Conflict of Interest (COI) - This position is subject to COI Regulations. The incumbent is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) within 30 days of assuming office, annually by April 1st, and within 30 days of leaving office.
DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program - The incumbent shall participate in DMV's EPN, which is a process for providing the Department with a report showing the driver's current public record as recorded by the DMV, and any subsequent convictions, failures to appear, accidents, driver's license suspensions, driver's license revocations, or any other actions taken against the driving privilege or license, added to the driver's DMV record.
Travel - The incumbent is required to travel throughout an assigned geographical area of California by various methods of transportation.
