Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Fort Rucker, Alabama DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Shall be familiar with contract requirements and the responsibilities of all sections / departments of the contractor performing duties within the scope of work for the Fort Novosel Range Operations and Maintenance Contract. Inspects facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance within the scope of work. Prepares weekly maintenance schedules and allocates work to the appropriate sections. Inspects and maintains range complex and training area as directed within the PWS. Possesses a strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment, grounds maintenance best management practices, and performance management techniques. Use communication and interpersonal skills to maximize workforce performance. Possesses a clear understanding of military processes, techniques, and standards. Uses appropriate Army and Installation regulations to provide an oversight of workplans for all training locations under the purview of this contract in accordance with Army and Installation standards. Must be flexible/available for on-call, after-hours emergencies. Supervises a group of employees engaged in one or more aspects of facilities maintenance (both inside and outside) within a building and range complex. Responsible for day-to-day office/field operations and procedures. Manage all facility related activities at multiple locations. Establishes and maintains frequent contact and collaboration with senior managers. Responsible for maintaining a consistent and appropriate aesthetic for interior and exterior environment. Provides Facilities support in the areas of project tracking, space planning, workplace standards site plan maintenance, sustainability and safety programs. Must be flexible/available for on-call, after-hours emergencies. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in related field and or 5 years Facility Management Experience.
- Collaborates with Range Operations Leadership and Base Operations Organizations to develop systems and procedures for facility maintenance and security; establishes and maintains standards, adequate staffing levels, and schedules.
- Provides recommendations to Range Operations Leadership for improvements to existing operations.
- Serves as primary employee point of contact for all facilities related issues.
- Acts as Security/Emergency Coordinator, supporting continuity plans and maintains local evacuation plans for emergencies.
- Selects personnel for assignments, provides training and development, and maintains clear and concise work standards and goals. Oversees and tracks work assignments to completion.
- Completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counseling, and takes corrective action as necessary.
- Encourages safe and secure work environment and practices.
- Manages maintenance of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator), fire extinguishers and first aid supplies; acts as member of Office Safety Committee.
- Ensures adherence to all Range Operations policies & procedures, contractual, ethics and safety standards.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Proof of US Citizenship required.

- Advanced knowledge of Facilities and Grounds Management
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate and deliver work objectives and instructions.
- Ability to prioritize, work effectively under time constraints, and schedule workload to meet deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of codes/regulations covering facility maintenance and workers' safety.
- Advanced organizational, space planning and forecasting skills.
- Ability to work independently, in a matrix setting (dual reporting), and collaboratively with management team.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

The position may require frequent visits to range and maintenance sites, including exposure to noise, weather, and outdoor conditions typical of live-fire training environments. The Project Manager may be required to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays based on mission schedules and contract needs
