What to Expect
This position is for a Thermal Technician with the Service MRB (Material Review Board) team. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background in automotive maintenance and testing. Our environment is fast-paced and incredibly exciting, so being passionate and self-motivated to push your limits is critical. Our team works with engineering groups across various disciplines, requiring effective communication skills and a team-first mentality. You will work alongside seasoned industry experts, high aptitude recent graduates, and people from every stage in between. We look for anyone with an exceptional ability to solve problems in both individual and team settings.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve mechanical & electrical issues discovered.
- Provide detailed written & verbal updates to key stakeholders
- Thorough documentation of all work performed through internal software database (JIRA) and WarpMRB
- Order necessary parts and consumables required to perform repairs & retrofits
- Work with outside vendors to ensure that incoming and in-process material complies with Tesla's specifications.
- Execute root cause analysis, identify and implement short/long term countermeasures
What You'll Bring
- Experience as an Engineering technician or 3+ years as an Automotive Service Technician
- 2 year technical/automotive degree preferred, but not required
- Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
- Analytical problem-solving skills & root cause analysis
- Experience with MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required for project deadlines
- Candidates must have the ability and willingness to travel domestically (Up to 10%)

Expected Compensation
- Quality Technician I - $25.88 - $28.80/hour
- Quality Technician II - $30.46 - $33.67/hour
- Quality Technician III - $33.09 - $38.46/hour
- Quality Technician IV - $35.93 - $43.91/hour
- Quality Technician V - $40.09 - $49.00/hour
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
