Lead Production - 2nd and 3rd shift

The Lead willbe responsible forleading group working activities tooptimizeproduction performance.This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primaryobjectiveand following established GMP, Safety, Regulatory andStratasFoods'procedures and policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all GMP and Safety requirements.

• Responsible for the safety, well-beingand training of the team members under his/her leadership.

• Responsible for enforcing GMPs and PPEtoall operators on their lines.

• Complete required paperwork ina timelyfashion as required by the production and quality schedule.

• Perform and complete various quality checks, such as but not limitedto;pre & post operation checks, Metal detector checks, Lot coding, product consistency, equipment pressures, etc.

• Manuallyreportmachine down time reasonsfor down-time reporting.

• Coordinate line set up to ensure production schedule is executed, such as but not limitedto;personnel, packaging, batch maker, documentation,etc.

• Operate all machinery/equipmentin the area ofresponsibility.

• Ensure thatall ofthe proper components are being used, reporting any deviations or issues to the Production Supervisor and/or QC Manager.

• Ensure the proper weight / volume is met per product specification / label claim.

• Ensurethe proper coding is clearly legible on the packaging as specified by QCand customer directives.

• Read, interpret, and followStratasFood'spolicy, procedures, work instructions, etc.

• Read,interpretand follow the daily production schedule and demands.

• Ensure that washouts and sanitation of tools and equipment is appropriately done, prior to line start up.

• Oversee and document reworkproductswhenrequired.

• General housekeeping inworkingareatocomply withGMP's and safety concerns.

• General knowledge ofdepalletizing,filler,cappers, coders, printers,scanner, labelers, case packers, case erectors, palletizers.Compressed gases,i.enitrogenas needed).Ability to set,monitorand adjust pressures.

• Can operate CCP checks

• Aid the organization in development of written processspecificationand controls.

• Adapts to shifting priorities andassistswherever needed to meet company goals.

• High school Diplomaor General Education Degree (GED)

• Ability to do simple math, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using wholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals

• Ability to speak and write English, bi-lingual in Spanish a plus

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats

• 1 year ofexperiencein a similarrole and industry

• 1 year of experience in coaching a team of 3-6 team members

Staring Pay:$21.76

Working Conditions

• The job is performed in a manufacturing plant environment. Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, heat, sparks, oil, and smoke will occur. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, steel toed shoes, appropriate clothing, hard hat) is required in manufacturing plants. Activities include extended periods of sitting and standing.Must have be ability tolift upto 50 pounds occasionally isrequired.
