Street & Parks Superintendent
Position Overview The Town of Vail is now hiring a Street & Parks Superintendent Application Deadline: Tuesday, November 26, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Expected Hiring Range: $110,200 (minimum) - $137,750 (mid-point) The Street Superintendent plays a key leadership role within the Town of Vail's Public Works Department, overseeing both the Streets and Parks Divisions. This position is responsible for leading, organizing, and mentoring a high-performing team while ensuring the maintenance and operation of the Town's critical infrastructure and public spaces. Key responsibilities include the management of snow and ice removal, pavement maintenance, storm drainage systems, signage and traffic control, landscaping, parks, flower beds, bike and pedestrian paths, and other community assets. The Street Superintendent manages operational and capital budgets, oversees equipment and maintenance programs, ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards, and maintains strong communication with employees, residents, contractors, and the public. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence, accountability, and teamwork in support of the Town's mission to provide safe, essential, and enduring services and infrastructure that enhance Vail's economic, environmental, and social well-being.
