About the Role:
Sikich is seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive new business for our Salesforce consulting practice. This is a "hunter" role emphasizing new client acquisition and consultative selling of Salesforce-related solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise B2B sales (10+ years), including 5+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem selling within the insurance industry, and is adept at engaging C-level stakeholders in the financial services industry. You will leverage your Salesforce knowledge and industry expertise to identify client needs, craft tailored proposals and win high-value consulting engagements.
What will you do in this role?
  • Drive New Business in Salesforce Services. Take ownership of the full sales cycle for Salesforce consulting and implementation services prospecting to closing.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new leads. Build a robust sales pipeline through networking, cold outreach, attending industry events, and leveraging Salesforce partner channels and referrals.
  • Engage C-level executives and senior stakeholders at prospective clients to understand their business goals, current challenges, and CRM needs. Use a consultative approach to uncover pain points and align those with Salesforce-based solutions.
  • Clearly communicate the value of our Salesforce consulting services. Present how Salesforce products and our firm's expertise can address the client's specific needs. Tailor presentations and product demos to highlight relevant industry use cases and outcomes.
  • Work closely with pre-sales solution architects and consultants to prepare demonstrations, technical deep-dives, and prototypes for clients. Ensure that proposed solutions are feasible and clearly address client requirements.
  • Develop compelling proposals, RFP responses, and SOWs (Statements of Work) for Salesforce projects. Lead contract negotiations, addressing client concerns and ensuring mutual win-win terms.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas for new business. This includes hitting targets for revenue bookings and number of new logos.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in our CRM. Diligently track pipeline status, forecast deals, and report on progress toward goals.
  • Build and nurture relationships with Salesforce Alliance Managers, Account Executives, and other ecosystem partners. Coordinate co-selling activities, joint account planning, and referral campaigns in the Financial Services.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or 5+ years relevant experienceis required
  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry, with emphasis on insurance. A successful candidate will be familiar with industry business processes and challenges (customer onboarding, policy/portfolio management, compliance, etc.) and how CRM solutions fit into these contexts
  • In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce product suite and ecosystem, including core Cloud offerings (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and industry solutions like Financial Services Cloud. Ability to speak to Salesforce capabilities, integrations, and the value of a Salesforce-based digital transformation is crucial.
  • History of exceeding sales targets and closing large deals. The ideal candidate can cite examples of six-figure (or higher) deals closed and overachievement of annual quotas in prior roles.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles (multi-month, multi-stakeholder deals) and navigating enterprise procurement processes is important.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities. Proven success in establishing trust and robust relationships with client executives and partners. An existing network in the insurance sector is a plus. The role requires someone who can engage multiple contacts within a client (business, IT, procurement) and navigate complex org structures
  • Demonstrated ability to sell consultative services. A successful candidate should excel at diagnosing customer needs and crafting tailored solutions. Experience selling professional services or consulting projects (as opposed to SaaS licenses alone) is highly preferred.
  • Experience working for a Salesforce consulting partner or a CRM consulting firm in a sales capacity is preferred. This demonstrates an understanding of the dynamics of selling consulting services (project scoping, SOWs, delivery cycles) and the importance of client success in services engagements
  • Ability to travel 20% to 40%.
In addition, specific skills/experience required are as follows:
  • Servant Leader- You are hyper focused on engaging employees, fostering their development, and building a positive culture.
  • Solutions Focused- You see opportunities in every business problem and can develop, articulate, and implement solutions.
  • Collaboration- You are a relationship builder across all levels of the organization and across all business units.
  • Instills Trust- You do what you say, and you follow through on commitments, you act with integrity, you are consistent and are perceived as credible.
  • Impact & Influence Thinking- You gain support for ideas, proposals, and solutions, and get others to act, with or without formal authority, to advance initiatives/objectives.
