ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate with management, Operations, Maintenance, and co-workers those activities required to accomplish assigned responsibilities. Develop and perform procedures required for sampling, inspections, monitoring, testing, and record keeping required by environmental regulations. Evaluate compliance needs and options in sufficient detail to present and conduct cost effective compliance assistance. Participate in budget preparation and tracking.

Establish and maintain regulatory and industry contacts that enhance environmental compliance. Collect data and prepare forms required to produce regulatory reports, permit applications, and required recordkeeping for Hunt companies. Make notifications as necessary. Collect data and complete questionnaires or information requests from industry associations or regulatory agencies as assigned. Accommodate or assist in facility regulatory audits. Represent Hunt Refining Company and the Environmental Department in meetings with regulatory and industry individuals or groups.

Research and determine Hunt Refining Company, and its subsidiaries, responsibilities and needs for compliance with existing and developing environmental regulations. The position has designated responsibility for issues related to the handling and management of non-hazardous and hazardous waste. The position has designated responsibility for ensuring company compliance with RCRA permit and NPDES permit requirements. The position will be responsible for ensuring company Benzene Waste Operations NESHAP (BWON) compliance.

Participate in other Environmental Department activities such as storage tank inspections, performance testing, NSPS QQQ inspections, Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) administration, oil spill response activity, CEMS oversight, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering and two (2) or more years related environmental and/or refining experience. Must be computer literate and accomplished in word processing and spreadsheet software programs and be an effective communicator in both oral and written correspondence. Be able to present information in a group setting, work well with others in a team environment, and interface with agencies outside the company. Have the ability to comprehend, interpret, and evaluate technical and regulatory writings. Understand refinery processes and operations sufficiently to determine regulatory requirements.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license. Will be required to obtain a valid TWIC card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
