The Role
Presidio Collaboration Technician will learn and assist with the technical aspects of Collaboration projects, including VoIP, Video, Presence, Contact Center, and Collaborative Applications. They will work under the guidance of Senior Collaboration Engineers to learn project processes, lifecycles, and documentation, with a focus on developing core skills and understanding fundamental concepts

Travel Requirements:

This position does require 25% travel. It will be based in Continental United States Location.

Responsibilities include:

* Begin pursuit of manufacturer certifications with guidance from the Team Lead, focusing on entry-level certifications first.
* Shadow Senior Collaboration Engineers and assist with basic implementation tasks
* Learn and document standard operating procedures and best practices
* Study current technology trends, customer needs, and market demand through mentorship and self-study
* Develop foundational knowledge in collaboration technologies including basic routing, switching, video endpoints, and unified communications
* Learn to work within a team environment, developing skills in Ownership, Business Comprehension, Dependability, and Professionalism
* Observe and understand customer environments under supervision
* Assist in maintaining and updating project documentation
* Learn troubleshooting methodologies for common technology issues
* Maintain accurate records of work performed
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions
* Support Senior Engineers with basic implementation tasks
* Learn from peer discussions and actively seek mentorship opportunities.

Required Skills and Professional Experience

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience and/or military experience IN related field preferred but not required.
* 0-2 years of experience in IT, preferably with some exposure to Unified Communications.
* Working towards or recently obtained relevant entry-level certifications (CCNA, Microsoft Teams Fundamentals)
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and willingness to learn Visio
* Basic understanding of networking concepts.

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience

* Strong aptitude for learning technical concepts
* Ability to obtain necessary security clearances if required
* Familiarity with Government procurement processes
