As a Security Guard - Government Transportation Center - Morning Shift in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at a prominent government location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and to observe and report any security-related concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious or unusual activities, reporting any findings to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Support access control measures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required for government facilities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to address security-related concerns and provide a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Willingness to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
