SUMMARY:

The Product Testing Communications team specializes in translation and interpretation catered to Game Quality Assurance. We are a team of Japanese/English language experts with extensive gaming knowledge that facilitates accurate and efficient communication to foster greater collaboration between Product Testing and our partners in Japan. The team also supports business-critical subject matters ranging from technical specifications and product design to business development, strategy, and execution.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Leads a team of bilingual communications coordinators and provides necessary support.
  • Performs written and verbal translations related to software development.
  • Performs written and verbal translations related to software development, including bug logs, daily correspondence, design documents, market research and white paper testing documents.
  • Identifies, documents, and analyzes areas for efficiency improvements (group and department).
  • Monitors and evaluates team metrics and assists in forecasting future department needs and priorities
  • Ensures compliance with department and company policies and procedures
  • Actively engages in ongoing process improvement and drives innovations as well as personal development.
  • Develops, maintains, and administers feedback and monitoring programs for staff.
  • Observes daily workflow and initiates action-driven conversations with Supervisor for process improvement
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
  • Five years experience translating and interpreting Japanese/English.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in leading a bilingual team.
  • Strong leadership skills and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, problem solving and cross-group collaboration skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Japanese culture and business protocol.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of Nintendo products.
  • Strong PC skills (MS office suite, test management software,) and ability to easily learn new programs.
  • Requires advanced skills and expertise in a variety of work processes or activities typically gained through a combination of training and considerable on-the-job experience.
  • Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, systems, or tasks; may require specialized expertise in a specific area to perform the most complex work.
  • Undergraduate degree in International Marketing, International Business, International Relations, Japanese/English Literature or equivalent.
  • Exceptional Japanese and English written and verbal communication skills (both at native fluency).
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base pay range of $43.99 - $70.38 per hour, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
