About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage critical corporate tax engagements. In this role, you will be at the forefront of business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and income tax accounting projects. You will be instrumental in managing client relationships, overseeing project execution from inception to completion, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services. This position offers a unique platform to leverage your technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and client-facing skills to contribute significantly to client success and the growth of our practice.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage client engagements, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects while adhering to budget.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns, providing performance feedback and guidance.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities to expand services with existing and potential clients.
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and identifying tax savings opportunities.
  • Conduct primary reviews of income tax provision engagements.
  • Research and consult on various tax matters, utilizing tax-related software for return preparation and processing.
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, effectively collaborating with management and staff to gather information and deliver tax services.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives to enhance engagement value.
  • Actively participate in professional development and training sessions. * Uphold the highest professional standards and strict client confidentiality.


What You'll Bring

Must-Have Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of four to seven years of progressive experience in tax compliance and/or tax consulting.
  • Active CPA or JD/active law license.
  • Proven experience in corporate income tax and strong skills in income tax accounting, including preparation, review, and audit.
  • Public accounting experience, ideally with a leading or large regional accounting firm.
  • Corporate tax experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global companies.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong working knowledge of broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting, including state and local income taxes, taxation of international activity, and transfer pricing.
  • Exceptional client service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in engagement management.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation



  • The target hiring compensation range for this role is $121,000 and $181,400. This role also includes an annual bonus, depending on performance.
