Job Description:

The Advanced Purity Solutions Materials Engineering Team is seeking a creative and innovative individual to help accelerate the development of next-generation materials to meet the needs of leading semiconductor technology developers. This role of Materials Engineer reports to the Senior Manager, Materials Engineering.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead polymer development projects involving cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, product management, sales, and marketing, and global supply management)
  • Use your materials expertise to create materials solutions based on customer-defined product and application needs
  • Develop test/qualification plans and success criteria for a given application
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and outside suppliers to solve material challenges
  • Provide support to engineering and other departments on new and existing materials issues (manufacturing, processing, incoming quality issues)
  • Investigate material failures to determine root cause and work with cross-functional teams to recommend corrective actions
  • Create material specification documentation for incoming resins
  • Travel to suppliers and company sites as needed

WHAT WE SEEK

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials / Chemical / Polymer Engineering
  • 0-2 years of experience with formulation and development of polymeric compounds
  • Analytical background with working knowledge of chemical and polymer analysis laboratory instrumentation and methodologies
  • Knowledge of polymer manufacturing and processing, including injection molding, roto molding, blow molding, and extrusion
  • Experience using structured DOE and statistical methods in an R&D environment
  • Basic understanding of Root Cause and Corrective Action processes and tools
  • Experience in a global R&D environment is preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

* Compensation: $70,000 - 85,000 per year range, with actual pay dependent on the candidate
