Position Overview

This is a wireline Telecom position. Experience in underground construction is expected.
As an Operations Support Manager, you are responsible for leading, coaching, motivating, and developing your team(s) to deliver accurate and timely close-out packages to clients. You will also work to reduce aged receivables while maintaining client expectations and mitigating risk for all parties.

Oracle is expected as well.

Excel and Formulas a plus.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Project & Operational Oversight

  • Oversee close-out efforts to ensure projects are executed according to design, budget, and schedule.
  • Monitor and review project reporting daily to drive cash flow and minimize exposure.
  • Organize and coordinate with operations teams to ensure maximum productivity, cohesion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare, update, and modify schedules, status reports, and project plans as required.
  • Prepare project reports for management, clients, and stakeholders

Team Leadership & Development

  • Set clear team goals aligned with company objectives.
  • Delegate tasks based on team members' skills and capacities.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise team activities on assigned projects.

Client & Market Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with market teams.
  • Conduct weekly touch-point calls and site visits
  • Assist in resolving project disputes, negotiating as needed to solve invoicing-related challenges.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist with aging invoices on an as needed basis
  • Ensure adherence to all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Continuously enhance your understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform additional duties as required and/or assigned.

Skills:

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • 5+ years of management-level experience in billing and reconciliation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting information and responding to questions both internally and externally
  • Possess strong organizational and business management abilities.
  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

About You:

  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Have 5 years of management level experience in outside plant construction
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Able to write reports and business correspondence
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only standardization exists
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Have strong organizational and business management skills
  • Have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
