Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Access Specialist in Natrona Heights, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This role is crucial in supporting the unique needs of a healthcare environment, including access control and responding to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may arise within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any observed issues or hazards.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site leadership and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work in hospital environments that may include exposure to morgue facilities.
  • Must be able to receive required vaccines for hospital settings as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to physically restrain individuals as needed in a hospital setting.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
