Job Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to support their clients' day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), and the ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively. Key Responsibilities Record and categorize financial transactions (AP, AR, payroll, etc.) for multiple clients Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts Maintain and organize general ledgers Assist in the preparation of financial reports (e.g., income statements, balance sheets) Support the preparation of tax filings and compliance documents Monitor client deadlines and deliverables (e.g., monthly closes, payroll submissions) Communicate with clients to clarify transaction details or gather missing information Maintain digital and physical financial records securely Work closely with accountants and tax preparers as needed Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP is a plus) Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero) Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle confidential information with integrity Preferred: Experience working in a public accounting or client-based environment Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax filings Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) Vaco Financial specializes in the permanent placement of accounting and finance professionals of all levels and industries.
